About Tom Korni

The #1 One Man Band! I've played 400+ events including weddings, corporate+ more! WOW your guests with something they've never seen before!
Public liability insurance of £10 million

'Tom Korni is a solo musician unlike you've ever seen before! Armed with a guitar, drums and his killer voice, Tom is capable of recreating all of your favourite tunes, from the early 60s all the way to modern day classics.' Hi, thanks for dropping by and looking at my profile! I began my music career in the streets of Cambridge in 2012, busking, earning some pocket money, and honing my skills. This soon snowballed in getting my first booking at a wedding at just 14! I have since been a full time musician, playing at every event imaginable. From house parties to festivals, charity events to corporate, pubs and clubs to sold out shows in theatres. I've definitely done it all! If you decide to book me, you can rest assured that you are in very capable hands. My act is very different from most solo acts I've seen. I do not use loop pedals, and instead use foot DRUMS that I hit with my feet, just like a drum kit, while simultaneously playing GUITAR. I have a really cool guitar pedal that changes part of the guitar signal by dropping it down an octave, making it sound just like a BASS GUITAR. This alters the way I have to play the guitar drastically, and means I need to learn the bass parts too! I don't make it easy for myself do I? As well as that, I SING all at the same time. I try and sing as much like the original as possible. I've developed quite a good Liam Gallagher, Morrisey, John Lennon voice over the years. I am currently waiting for a guitar pedal to arrive that will also give me the ability to have synthesizers and pads, all controlled by me in real time. This will make my sound even more full! I am forever building on my sound, and evolving it to do as many things as possible, so I can entertain any audience life throws at me. It's a life long passion, and performing not only gives me a chance to show case what I do, but allows me to carry on doing what I love. Being full time, I am booked up all year through, but I have been known to do very last minute gigs, like in 2013 when I was called up by the camp site for Formula 1 in Silverstone, who had their band drop out last minute. They had a whole camp site of people who were promised entertainment, but now had nothing. They called me and I had about 2 hours to sort myself, pack everything into the car, and get there. We all ended up having an amazing night. The atmosphere was electric, and I was rebooked to play there for the F1 the following year, as well as the 'Moto GP' and 'Classics' racing events they held the following months.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The drumming! I always have people say 'I love what you did, but I just couldn't take my eyes off your feet.' I think it is a very different thing that people aren't used to, and takes a little minute for people to understand, but when they get it they're obsessed! I put in a lot of energy when needed. I love to get people up enjoying themselves!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at all sorts of venues, for all sorts of events. I have perfomed solo shows at The Stables, MK, The Junction, Cambridge, The Horn, St Albans. I have performed at weddings in the Troxy, London, Ashby Manor House, Rugby, The Giraffe Shed, Wales. I have played at large corporate events for companies, including 'Mundipharma'.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I was brought up on Pink Floyd, and have even been in a Pink Floyd Tribute Band. I love the drumming of Kevin parker. I love the bass work of Jesse Brotter. David Gilmour is a huge inspiration on my guitar playing and Liam Gallagher has been one of my favourite singers since I was super young! I am obsessed with music, and listen to all sorts, constantly!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

The most high profile performance I have played at was at Bestival 2015, where I was deemed 'Top 5 festival moments of 2015', along side Fleetwood Mac, The Chemical Brothers and Kendrick Lamar.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

As a One Man Band, I can be really flexible, and cater to your needs, at short notice. Don't be shy to keep me in the loop, update me with any changes you would like to make ahead of time, and if something happens on the day, I will try my best to adhere to your new requirements!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I can! I have a great sounding PA system that I can plug your phone into and play your favourite Spotify playlist, or I can become 'Spotify DJ', and keep the vibes alive, keep people up on the dancefloor while on my break. If you would like this service to continue after the show, until the venue closes, this can be provided for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

My One Man Band set up requires at least 1.5 hours before performance time. I have a lot more gear than you'd expect! I can arrive at the venue long before guests so I am already sound checked, ready to play, and playing background (spotify) music as they arrive. Just let me know! If I am just playing a guitar and singing, then it takes no time at all.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is comprised of songs that I have learned for shows over the past 10 years, and a lot of the songs are great crowd pleasers! I am more than happy to have a chat about what songs you'd like to be included, and what you might want left out ahead of the night.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I have absolutely everything I need, so you don't need to worry about a thing!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am always looking to learn new songs and experiment with new sounds, so I'm definitely able to learn your favourite songs! I just need 1 month in advance of the event, and can learn a song at a fee of £20 per song for rehearsal time etc.

We booked Tom for our wedding and his performance was outstanding. We were all totally blown away by his talent and performance. Tom entertained us and our guests and somehow managed to produce a playlist that appealed to all. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom.

Tom Korni played at our garden party on the 13th of August 2022 to over 100 people of mixed ages ,without question the party turned into more like a festival ! due to Toms ability to light up the occasion playing a mixed bag of new and old songs. Tom impressed all our quests with the sound he creates due to the skill he has in multi-tasking in the instruments he plays. Without doubt Tom is our first choice in past and future gatherings !!
