Born in 1994 in France, Thomas Zimmer started the harp at 6 years old. He also used to play the percussion, the harpshichord, and sing. He studied with many teachers as Sylvain Blassel in Rennes, Françoise de Maubus, Gudrun Hummer-Virot. He has also participated to many masterclasses with Catherine Michel (Michel Legrand’s wife), Fabrice Pierre, Ghislaine Petit-Volta, Elisabeth Fontan-Binoche, Marie Pierre Langlamet, Anna Loro… After one year at Rennes’ conservatory, he came in London to study at Trinity Laban conservatoire with Gabriella Dall Olio. Once graduated, he is now starting a concert master at La Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne (switzerland). Thomas Zimmer plays a lot with orchestras as the Deutsh-Französich freundliche orchestra, Rouen’s conservatory orchestra, the National Youth orchestra of Great Britain, the rehearsal orchestra, trinity laban symphony orchestra. These collaborations offer him occasions to perform in different places in Europe as the Litz academy in Budapest (Hungary), Bayreuth (Germany), La piazza della Signoria in Florence, San Gimignano (Italy), Le Cadran in Evreux(France), st Thomas Hospital and cadogan Hall in London.
