Thomas was born in Prien am Chiemsee, Germany in 1993. Already at an early age he developed a passion for music and musical instruments, especially the piano, and received piano lessons from the age of 6. At the age of 12 he added guitar to his repertoire of musical instruments, and drums at 14. Thomas likes to explore a wide range of musical genres and experiments with many different sounds and instruments. He loves to explore more unusual and unconventional compositional approaches. In 2009 Thomas spent one year abroad as an exchange student in Mason, Michigan, USA. There he went to the local High School and spent most of his time in Marching-, Concert-, and Jazzband, playing piano, guitar and percussion. Soon he developed an interest for sound engineering, realising its relevance and importance in the music industry. For this reason Thomas decided to take the next step and professionally study composition and sound engineering. From 2010 until 2014 he trained in composition and sound engineering at the Deutsche Pop Music Academy in Munich, Germany. He is currently studying for his BMus (Hons) degree in music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, specialising in composition and music technology. He has worked with a wide range of people such as the Glendower Ensemble, Nieuw Ensemble, various freelance musicians, illustrators and others. He has far-reaching experiences in composing for film, games, TV, classical music and in music technology, from studio recordings to sound design. Currently (2016) Thomas is based in Cardiff, Wales, UK. Thomas is influenced by composers such as Strauss, Wagner, Brahms, Chopin , Debussy, Ravel and Stravinsky. Other influences include Steve Reich, Jerry Goldsmith, Thomas Newman, John Williams, Howard Shore, Daniel Lanois, Kubilay Uner, St. Vincent, Sufjan Stevens, & more...
