Born in England, Thea grew up in Lincolnshire. She began her harp studies at the age of 8, she first studied with Helen Naylor in Derbyshire and then went on to the Royal College of Music and has studied under Daphne Boden since 2009. Whilst at the RCM she had the opportunity to play for Prince Charles and also during her time there won the Gordon Turner Harp Memorial Competition. At the age of 16 she was accepted to the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey and spent three years at this world renowned prestigious music school. She has played in the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, played to David Watkins, Isabelle Perin and Marissa Robles. Thea has performed in such halls as the Royal Festival, Barbican and the Royal Albert Hall, she most recently performed a solo recital in the Wigmore Hall.
