The band was truly excellent and very friendly too. Georgina was great to liaise with leading up to the event and she has superb charisma and vocals. The other band members were equally talented and impressive musicians who were also able to adjust to what was a much smaller space due to the weather conditions on the day. My guests were really impressed with everyone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The New Jazz Age and hope that I am able to hear them play again in the future :-)

New Horizons Theatre Company had the privilege of The New Age Jazz playing for us at our 10 Year Anniversary Dinner. From the moment the music started the atmosphere in the room was filled with so much excitement and animation from over 90 of our members and their families. There was no hesitation in members getting up onto the dance floor - to be honest it was hard to get them off as the songs kept drawing them up. If you want to sprinkle that extra bit of magic dust onto your occasion then do not hesitate in booking The New Jazz Age - a band of extremely talented, professional and warm musicians. I couldn't recommend them enough.

The New Jazz Age performed as a duo for us at the Bosham Inn over the festive period. Georgina and Amy conducted themselves politely and professionally throughout the initial booking, on arrival and throughout their sets. Our guests really enjoyed the two sets that these talented ladies put together and we look forward to booking them again soon.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Guests are always impressed by the variety and versatility of our set lists- we have something for everyone!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Sandbanks Hotel, Poole Yacht Club, Xero's 'XESTIVAL', Bupa Care Homes, The Coventry Arms (Dorset), The Holme Bush Inn to name a few!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Caro Emerald, Peggy Lee, Eva Cassidy, Katie Melua, Paloma Faith.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We treat every gig with the upmost professionalism. Wedding Receptions are always planned to every last detail.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Vocals, Bass, Piano and Drums. We also perform as a duo of Vocals/Piano.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We offer iPod music between sets for free- we usually play Jazz Standards that are not in our playlist that evening. Let us know if you would like something different.

How much time do you need to set up?

We set up about 45 minutes before the performance time for smaller gatherings and venues. For Weddings and large events we prefer to set up/sound check 1 to 1.5 hours before to ensure everything's in order

Can you roam around while you perform?

No.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and Equipment is included in your quote. We usually require easy access to plug sockets and a few parking spaces.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. We enjoy adding to our repertoire! There is a fee of £100.00 to take into account everyones rehearsal time.
