Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band, our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our usual line-up is as follows: Tom: Lead Vocals Tim: Lead Guitar & Backing Vocals George: Keys, Sax & Backing Vocals Harry Denton: Drums & Backing Vocals Callum: Bass Guitar & Double Bass We also operate using different configurations - from solo, to duo, trio, and 4-piece.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. Sometimes the band even play live to the DJ tracks. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for a small additional cost.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you - provided that you let us know well in advance. If it's within a month of the performance, there is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account extra rehearsal times.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

"The guys were super accommodating with song requests and even nailed our first dance. The dance floor was always busy and even when Tom was doing the DJ role, some of the band members still played instruments and even danced with us." - Wedding Client, January 2019

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We've performed many venues across the UK, and between us have toured nationally and internationally. From country houses, restaurants, castles, conference halls, pubs, clubs, churches, and theatres. We predominantly gig in and around London & the home counties, but have enjoyed recurrent performances in the North East, West Yorkshire and Cumbria.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Our act originated as 'Justice Powell & The Objections' as part of a 1950s rock'n'roll immersive theatre event. Since then we've taken inspiration from all the rock'n'roll greats, adding in the music of artists from every subsequent era: from Queen to Frankie Valli, Erasure to Olly Murs. We offer variety, energy, and your chart classics from every era.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Our singer, Tom has performed as a support act for Olly Murs, Amelia Lily, Diana Vickers and more! Between us, we've had performances at Glastonbury, The O2 academy, Ronnie Scotts, BBC Proms, Hoxton Hall, The Mayflower Theatre, The Sage (Gateshead) and more. Although we're a relatively new outfit as a 5-piece, as individuals we have a wealth of experience.

What can I say? We had so many compliments from our guests about the band. The guys were super accommodating with song requests and even nailed our first dance. The dance floor was always busy and even when Tom was doing the DJ role, some of the band members still played instruments and even danced with us. The accused, thank you one more time! You were fantastic! Highly recommend them for any function! X from a very happy recently married couple.

The Forensic Psychology Unit at Goldsmiths University frequently put on immersive theatre events. One of our recent productions was based in the 1950's and we desperately wanted an authentic band to add to the experience. The Accused proved to be the perfect addition to our event! A perfectly executed playlist of songs delivered professionally and authentically with a fantastic stage presence. Each member of the band threw themselves behind the concept for the evening and engaged with our audience at every opportunity. The dance-floor was packed for the entire evening and we had guests commenting on how fantastic they were. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!
