Barnsley

The Zealots were formed in early 2019. The band members had all played in different bands and acts previous, but had decided to form a dedicated cover band, that began gigging in the summer of 2019. Since then, we have been gigging constantly and hope to continue to grow our brand extensively. Also if our Lead Singer looks familiar, he has been on All Together Now, please see our video!

The Zealots performed at our wedding this Saturday and they were absolutely brilliant! Really easy to deal with, accommodated all of our requests (even the very last minute ones) and were amazing performers! Everyone was dancing and singing along and we liked every single song on the set list. I’d recommend them to anyone

Customer questions

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

As the Zealots: Old Town Hall, Tavern, White Bear (Wombwell), The Garrison, Soul Lounge (Barnsley), Montgomery Hall (Hoyland) All members in previous bands have played many different venues across South Yorkshire and beyond.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The band has a range of influences, which has directly influenced the nature of the songs we have covered.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Our band members have played several prestigious venues. Our singer, Lee, was on the program, All Together Now (Clip in the video section). Jack, Adam and Oliver played in local original band Black Shoes, andDom was part of New Road Kings, who both played the South Yorkshire circuit constantly, playing at the 02 Academy, The Plug, The Leadmill, and more.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level

Do you have different line-up options?

We are a five piece band, but we can shrink to fit certain events and such, such as down to a 3 piece. It all depends on exactly you require.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional cost.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance! As with everything though, we will endeavour to work towards your requirements and make ourselves flexible if needed to be.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely, we encourage that! Although our set list is large and ever - growing, we would much rather you tell us exactly what songs you'd like us to play!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

It is. We'd normally liaise immediately with your venue to arrange our setup in advance.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.
