The Schmoozenbergs

Conjuring up the mood of 1930s Paris, fused with flavours of Eastern Europe and the energy of a campfire jam session, The Schmoozenbergs bring you irresistible rhythms, evocative melodies and their own little bit of ‘special sauce' to create a heart-warming, hip-swinging sound. Two guitars, a violin and a double bass are the ingredients for a Gypsy Jazz show that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a spring in your step. Our large repertoire is always fine tuned to suit your event, and includes all of the major tunes of the Gypsy Jazz genre, from Django Reinhardt and beyond, as well as imaginative interpretation of a huge array of classic jazz standards (by the likes of George Gershwin, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington etc). We also have a repertoire of original music in the Gypsy jazz style, which we can happily include on request! Formed in 2012, The Schmoozenbergs have delighted audiences at venues and events throughout the country, performing at some of the UK's biggest festivals (including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shambala, Green Man), as well as National venue tours, and a wide range of weddings, corporate and private events.
