Kool & The Funk

Kool & The Funk are a disco and funk band built to fill dancefloors, with soul woven through everything we play. What started as a few friends jamming after hours has grown into a tight, horn-driven live act that moves effortlessly between glittering disco anthems, deep pocket funk and soulful classics. Our set blends soulful vocals, punchy brass and a rhythm section that never lets the groove drop. We draw on classic influences - think disco-era grooves, Stax and Motown, JBs-era funk and cool jazz standards - while keeping our arrangements fresh, dynamic and fun to watch. Whether we're playing a first dance, a cocktail hour or a full-throttle party set, we read the room and shape the night around it. Every member of the band trained and gigged for years before coming together, and that experience shows: tight horn stabs, real improvisation, and a rhythm section that locks in from the first note.
