60s Blues/Rock/R&B/Pop (and more) band. We really can cover most genres. So it’s not just rock and pop and Blues, we also cover Jazz, Swing, Soul, Rock n Roll, Ska and Country. The band were formed in 2017 from the ashes of the Blues Band Meet Mr Callaghan. In 2023 we were shortlisted for the Lowlands Music Awards. The Invaders have Performed all over Scotland and North of England, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth, Falkirk, Stirling, Leith, Ayr, Berwick, Newcastle….we play at festivals, parties, weddings, clubs, pubs etc. Regularly at events like Almost Blue in Dundee, Edinburgh festival and Fringe festival, Callander Jazz&Blues Festival, Arbroath Music festival, Bell Rock Music Festival etc We were also the house band for Falkirk Blues Club and Stirling Blues Club We are a four piece band comprising Vocals, Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums. Female and Male Vocals, lighting, PA, huge repertoire. We play most musical styles and always tailor events to suit the individuals involved and the occasion and the venue. Band members played with many well known acts, Accelorators, Border Radio, Dirt Road Blues, MMC, Pzazz, Skababs, Rockahillbillies etc. Fiona, the lead vocalist, is from a Jazz and popular music background and studied with Fionna Duncan and Lianne Carole. Fiona has also sung lead vocals with many Pop/Rock/Soul bands including Last Tango in Memphis and MMC, among others, and has performed in theatres and various venues in UK as well as with the with Blues legend Norman Beaker and his band. Fiona used to fun regular Jazz/Blues Open Mic nights in Edinburgh and performed at various festivals. Gavin- Guitar, harmonica, vocals. Experienced and versatile player, pop, Rock, Country, all musical styles. Gavin too has played with many bands including The Accelerators and Border Radio and also solo. Been with The Invaders from their inception. Gary is our bass guitarist. Originally from Northern Ireland but now based in East Lothian and is much in demand, vastly experienced too, and happy in his role. He Loves all genres of music and was bassist with Country band Border Radio who played in festivals and clubs all over Scotland. Ronnie is on drums, and what a drummer. Every style is Ronnie’s forte, rock, pop, jazz, swing …..and former member of among other bands, The fabulous Rock a Hillbillies.

Yes

Do you have different line-up options?

No, standard 4 piece, guitars, drums and vocals. However we do also okay acoustically

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We can be flexible on timings, just let us know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Can provide background music via iPod only

How much time do you need to set up?

30 mins very minimum. Usually 1 hour before start time

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have large, very varied set list and tailor it to suit the event/occasion. They are crafted from countless performances and easily adjusted to suit every set up. If you require specific song just let us know in advance

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Special song, ask in advance. On rare occasion we don’t know it, we can learn it, but ask beforehand please. No extra charge for this service
