Founded by ex-Alvin Stardust guitarist Stu Barbour, The Highway Sun is a new high-energy country band bringing the best of modern and classic country hits to every event. With a repertoire packed full of crowd-pleasing favourites, we cover legendary artists like Keith Urban, Luke Combs, Tracy Byrd, The Eagles, Billy Ray Cyrus, Chris Stapleton, Tyler Hubbard, The Mavericks, Glen Campbell, Dolly Parton, and many more. Our mission? To keep the dance floor filled all night! Whether it’s a honky-tonk party, a wedding celebration, or a festival crowd, we bring the authentic sound of country music with tight harmonies, expert musicianship, and an electric atmosphere. Want to add a little extra fun? We can even provide a line dance instructor on request to get everyone moving! We come fully equipped with professional lighting and a Bose PA system, ensuring a clear, crisp sound that’s powerful enough for a party but still allows guests to chat comfortably. A Spotify playlist is provided before and between sets to keep the energy flowing throughout the night. With a lineup of seasoned professional musicians who have played together for years, The Highway Sun delivers a seamless performance every time. We have a lot of songs, but if there’s a special song you’d love to hear, just let us know—we’re always happy to accommodate. The Highway Sun delivered an electric performance from start to finish, turning the night into a floor-stomping celebration worthy of our rugby club’s 160th anniversary. Their energy was infectious, with every track pulling the crowd in, but it was Faith that truly stole the show—uniting the whole room in a perfectly chaotic, joyful line dance. A fantastic night of live music, big atmosphere, and a band that knows exactly how to get a crowd moving. Highly recommended!

I thoroughly recommend you consider this band. They kept my guests dancing / singing all evening . The members are all extremely talented and experienced musicians who deliver a quality performance of all those popular songs . Great pre booking communication, punctuality, no fuss set up and pack up.

We had a Hoedown for 2000 people during the Agria Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead and the Highway Sun were just perfect for it!! They were very professional and fantastic musicians - I will be booking them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a live band at an event.

Singer/guitarist with tracks playing easy listening for 45 minutes during the meal. Includes use of microphone for speeches. Then four piece band playing popular country songs plus a mix of regular party songs to keep everyone dancing. Two one hour sets with Spotify playlist played between sets.

2 x 1 hour sets, Spotify playlist between sets, lights and PA supplied. Have a country themed event, get everyone to dress up. We can also bring a country photo frame for people to take pics of themselves all dressed up in.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Played guitar for an event at Wembley Stadium and also at The Royal Albert Hall.

Do you have different line-up options?

We are a four piece band that includes singer/guitarist, bass player, keyboard player/singer and drummer. We also have the option of adding a fiddle player and or a female singer.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try to be as flexible as possible, just let us know any changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we will play a music mix before and between sets.

How much time do you need to set up?

One hour is usually enough time.

Can you roam around while you perform?

No, we are fixed in place.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We work hard at having a good set that gets people dancing (unless a quieter set is required for background which we can easily do), but you can certainly highlight some favourites that you definitely would like played, we just ask that you let us know before the event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA is included and we will bring some lighting too. We can provide a radio mic for speeches if you let us know in advance.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there is a special song you would like that is not on our list then we can usually learn it for you if we know in advance. There is a fee of £30 for this.
