The BASSnote Collective

The BASSnote Collective are an innovative London based gospel, soul and R&B vocal group, brought together by their love of singing and desire to share the magic of music with others. Weather with a full band, singing to backing track, or stripped right back to accapella, they will leave you absolutely in your feelings! The BNC offer fresh takes on songs you know and love; a completely inclusive show covering multiple styles across the decades, and the opportunity to have it all specially tailored to you. Expect rich harmonies and stunning solos! This group are frequent performers each in their own right and as a collective; they are frequently booked for recording sessions, weddings, funerals and to provide corporate entertainment. They have recently featured in the music video for “Riot” by Sony artist Grace Carter and supported Olivia Dean in a special Christmas performance at London's Claridges Hotel for Jimmy Choo. Last December also saw them provide a choral backdrop for Benjamin Clementine's one-off performance at Bush Hall. They are led by “Did Somebody Say Just Eat” campaign writer and feature vocalist Toni Robinson. In recent years she has been seen leading UK rapper Kano’s live tour choir, who supported him in his headline Glastonbury performance; arranging for Pop artist Tom Grenan; and providing the choir for Elton John’s “Never Too Late”, the closing song to Disney’s 2019 motion picture The Lion King. Robinson brings this and a wealth of experience to her creative direction for The BASSnote Collective. Her vocal arrangements push the boundaries of UK gospel, with rewrites of pop, soul and R&B intertwined to make the genre accessible to the masses.
