Weaving the sounds of 1920's New Orleans jazz, sizzling swing and bouncing balkan brass with thoroughly modern dance styles, The After Hours have created a uniquely exciting take on Electro - Swing. This is the 'Jazz Age' dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century; and loving it. They also play traditional 'New Orleans' Jazz to an exceptionally high standard at jazz events across Europe and have their own take on lots of modern classics such as Britney Spears' Toxic, I bet that you look good on the dance floor, Crazy and so many more. This massive range helps them to connect with any and all audiences no matter when the event or setting. The band has a wealth of experience playing weddings, festivals and functions across the EU, providing everything from PA hire to bespoke DJ sets.

Such a lovely group of guys and so talented! We got so many compliments from all our guests about how great they were! Managed to get pretty much everyone on the dance floor (just those who wouldn’t dance left bobbing at their table!) Highly recommend to anyone and will be keeping an eye to see them live again where possible!

The After Hours played at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier! We spent a long time searching for a band that we would like, and that our guests would want to dance to, and they didn't disappoint. The music was fantastic; all clearly very talented musicians, and they brought great energy to the evening. We were just sad we didn't have them playing for longer. We would definitely use them again for any future events we're organising!

Awesome. These guys brought swing, electroswing and everything in between which made for an amazing evening. So much so, guests actually got out their dancing shoes for the occasion. Really good fun and would highly recommend these guys. Thank you Oly and the crew.

These guys can do it all - eaerly jazz, blues and the Electro Swing is scortching hot man

I booked the After Hours Quintet to play at the Magic Garden Pub a couple months ago on a Sunday. Both the customers and staff were so impressed that I've just had to ask them to come back to play again! It's rare that we get that much positive feedback from so many people. They started off playing as the traditional swing band and then slowly changed over to the electro swing version. They absolutely rocked the stage and had everyone up dancing by the end. They are very professional and easy to deal with, and clearly love doing what they do. Would very highly recommend.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

We started out, and perform regularly, as a duo. Front man Oly Clarkson plays everything from clarinet, sax, guitar, vocals harmonica & wash board. For trad jass/ swing sets you can add double bass, drums, and /or trumpet . For the. electro swing you hav eth emain 5 piece band plus optional female vocals and/ or scratch DJ to make up the full 7 piece.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We generally block out the whole day for performance so minor tweeks to scheduling are really not a problem. If constraints are later put on us we let the client know in ample time.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide I pod/ Spotify playlists or DJ through the event.

How much time do you need to set up?

Approx 45 minute load in - 45 minutes set up time, depending on the lay out of the venue and parking constraints.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We love a good walk about performance as it allows us to build intimacy with the guests and perform to eager pockets. For teh full stage show we try to run out into the audience with the brass at prime opportunities.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely, but we find it often work out best/ easiest if you just let us do our thing. We want to go down well too after all!! Lol

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, unles you require to hire our extra large, club size PA.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, within reason. If songs require practise we do charge a small fee.
