About Teddy

Experienced sax player available for live gigs and studio sessions
Tenor Saxophonist
Surbiton

Starting my saxophone journey at 7, I quickly moved beyond just playing to leading my school's community performance programme as a major music scholar. I studied at the Royal College of Music's Junior Department, laying a solid foundation for my future in music. At university, I immersed myself in the live music scene, playing a pivotal role in the jazz and live music societies and performing weekly at a variety of external events around London. I have been fortunate enough to play on many iconic stages like Ronnie Scott's, the Royal Festival Hall, Bloomsbury Theatre, the 606 Club, G-Live, the Vortex, and notably, a solo recital in the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall. This recital, co-promoted by the Royal College of Music and the Royal Albert Hall, was a highlight of my career so far. Today, my aspirations extend to performing live and securing recording session work. My experience isn't just limited to performance; I've spent years teaching saxophone and music theory to students worldwide, sharing my passion and knowledge of music. This blend of performing experience and educational engagement has afforded me a versatility and adeptness in both the creative and instructional aspects of music. In summary, my journey from a young enthusiast to a seasoned performer and teacher underscores my commitment to music. With a background that spans prestigious venues and international teaching, I am poised to contribute significantly to any performance or recording project, bringing both my technical skills and experiences to the table.

Absolutely!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
