About Swing Kings

Jazz trio
Public liability insurance of £10 million
An ultra-hip, swinging trio from the buzzing north-west scene. Creating a unique new twist on jazz standards and classic pop tunes!!

The Swing Kings are a 3 piece jazz trio. The standard line up is Vocals/Keyboard, Double Bass & Drums. From Frank Sinatra to Nat King Cole, Elvis Presley and The Beatles the Swing Kings swingin' arrangements breathe a whole new life into some of the favourite moments in jazz. Jazz has become relevant and cool again to a whole new generation since the advent of the likes of Jamie Cullum and this trio are surfing the same wave keeping alive the jazz flame with a tender passion for the music they love. The band is led by Bobby Stringer an excellent young New York-trained jazz pianist with a sweet soulful voice to match. Bobby has worked as a session keyboard player for The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Candie Payne, Natasha Hamilton (Atomic Kitten) and Colin Vearncombe. He has also performed as guest keyboardist with The Zutons, whilst also having played keyboards with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. He has toured extensively in Europe, Japan and North America. Bobby's appearances include Later with Jools Holland, BBC Radio 2, Jonathan Ross show and Mark Lamarr show. Bobby Stringer is backed by a tight and swinging rhythm section you could only dream about! If you require a larger line up, the Swing Kings can include the addition of Saxophone, Trumpet or Guitar.

The Swing Kings played a fantastic show at our wedding. They fit the mood of the evening perfectly with a wide range of standards, adaptations and a few surprises that had all of our guests, young and old, on the dance floor. They were professional, courteous and I would recommend them to anyone looking for jazz/swing (with a twist) to make their event memorable.

The Swing Kings made our evening reception memorable to us and all our guests. Everyone commented how terrific they were and how friendly and supportive they were. They played our requests and we will hold the memories forever. A first class jazz trio.
