Strelitzia String Quartet

The professional string quartet ‘Strelitzia’ has been providing creative music for weddings, functions, and business since 2002. We currently perform for around 40 events every year as a quartet whilst also enjoying freelance careers with orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and recordings work including Doves and X-Factor. Strelitzia also appeared on the hit BBC 3 series ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’. We have experienced many exciting events and would love you to get in touch to see if we can enhance your event. WEDDINGS: Looking for a Wedding String Quartet? Strelitzia String Quartet is available for weddings throughout the North of England including Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire, and the Lake District. We tailor what we play and in what form we play to suit your individual occasion. You may even like to request a new piece of music – we can have this arranged specially for your wedding. Some of the things you may wish us to do are: Set the atmosphere by playing as your guests enter the ceremony room or church - we would typically play from half an hour before the ceremony started. Play for the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the registers, and for the exit of the couple - whilst there are the “standard” entrance and exits, we are happy to play whatever you like! The signing of the register is a particularly good time to choose something that means something special to the two of you as this will be the first music you will hear married. Provide background music for your guests during the drinks reception - the string quartet would play unobtrusive music to put you and your guests at ease as you relax and have those important photographs taken. Play during the meal. We have a variety of different quartet packages available from simply the ceremony to a full day rate. ELECTRIC: Looking for a more contemporary look or have lots of guests? Our Electric quartet uses Yamaha instruments and a Yamaha PA system.
