Stevie & Matthew are an exciting violin and saxophone duo offering a distinctive live sound to contemporary, jazz, blues and folk songs. Having both graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the pair have relocated to London, in order to pursue further performance opportunities and tutelage on their musical instruments. Prior to working with one another, the pair has had extensive experience in solo positions and ensembles. Stevie has been a featured Soloist in the London Masterclass Series at Royal Academy of Music and the Vienna International Summer Academy at MDW, along with holding Principal Violin positions in Bicentenary Commissions Orchestra and The Orchestra Project with Fabian Russel. Stevie currently studies under Simon Fischer in London. Matthew has featured as soloist and Tenor 1 Saxophone player in the Casablanca Jazz Orchestra, led by Bootsie Booth and Heather Davies, directed and conducted the Ramshackle Orchestra and its Training Band through the Art of Living Festivals 2022 - 2026, and currently studies under Rachael Cohen in London. These wonderful musicians played for my husbands 60th birthday. Not only did they play everything we requested but brought some lovely jazz tunes to our dinner party. Would recommend Stevie and Matthew, the Violin and Saxophone duo sounds very good together!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Just contact us as soon as possible, and we'd be happy to adjust our performance for your event.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide a background music playlist in between sets, fit to the mood of the event.

How much time do you need to set up?

20 minutes set up time is perfect.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes, we can either perform acoustically or with microphones attached to our instruments, if roaming performance is a requirement.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

You can choose some songs for us to perform if you so wish. Otherwise, we will perform our repertoire in the jazz, contemporary and classical genres, related to the event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We provide our musical instruments and instrument mics, along with a small battery powered AMP. For larger venues, we would option for the venue's PA & lighting requirements.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, just inform us before the event, and we can learn your requests.
