About Steve Bonham and The Bishop

Good-time music for a mixed-up world! Acoustic music to give you toe-tapping, table-thumping, hand-clapping delight.
Acoustic duo
Derby
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Let’s stir up the magic with great songs spanning the whole damned gamut, from Louisiana to London, New Jersey to Newcastle, the Mississippi to the Mersey! Stuff you’ve heard before and stuff you wish you had heard before. An evening - or hell, make it the morning, noon and night too - to let go and enjoy some toe-tapping, table-thumping, hand-clapping delight. A bit of country, a bit of swampy blues, some Stones, some Dylan, Springsteen and Dr John. We've performed all over the UK, gigging in: music venues, arts centres, community hubs, theatres, festivals, pubs, clubs. Wherever you find good music! Previous gigs include: Dublin Castle, Camden; Acoustic Festival of Great Britain; Wigtown Book Festival; Classic Nostalgia Festival; Festival of the Artisan; The Lighthouse, Poole; community centres and pubs across the UK. We play a mixture of covers and originals - and we can slide the scale one way or the other depending on what you want for your event. We have plenty of experience shaping set lists for gigs with a healthy mixture of covers and originals, so don't worry if you want to leave it totally down to us!
