Stay Crooned

Hi, my name is Jamie and I’m delighted to introduce you to my solo swing act, Stay Crooned! I first started singing formally in 2014 when I joined a nationwide contemporary choir. I learnt a great deal in my time with the choir, particularly in terms of public performance, regularly being selected to take solo parts in many different styles of songs. With the choir I performed at venues such as Wembley Stadium and the Birmingham NEC, events such as the Rugby World Cup and the Tour de France Grand Depart, with artists such as G4 and the Manchester Camerata and have recorded at Abbey Road studios. I have long been a fan of swing music, in particular Michael Buble. This lead to me looking to move into this genre myself, and in 2022 I joined a big band based in Leeds. With the band I have honed my swing style and learnt to adapt that to a wide variety of music, as well as performing at many public events such as food, drink and music festivals, tea dances, masquerade balls and Christmas celebrations. Immersing myself in full-scale big band arrangements has allowed me to master the complex phrasing, dynamic control, and rhythmic precision required of an elite swing vocalist. Having gained all of this varied experience, I’m now bringing that to the fore with my solo venture, Stay Crooned. Specialising in the classic crooner style, my act delivers the definitive sounds of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Buble and more in my classic swing sets. In addition, I have a very popular set of more contemporary rock and pop songs performed in a swing style. Artists such as Bon Jovi and Nirvana through to Daft Punk and Oasis are given that classic swing magic to produce a creative and surprising set that wows audiences. Stay Crooned launched in October 2025 and since then I have gained a growing number of Care Home clients as well as performing at private parties and weddings. This is an act that will suit any occasion! For me, singing is more than just entertainment; it is about connection. Music is a powerful vehicle for storytelling and nostalgia. My goal with every performance is to transport the audience, evoke cherished moments, and create an atmosphere of effortless elegance and joy. Whether I am performing for a lively private party or sharing a quiet afternoon of song, seeing people smile, sing along, and connect through music is the ultimate reward.
