I booked Max aka Spotlight Percussion as an add on to a DJ and Sax player I'd already booked for my birthday. I really wanted someone with lots of energy and Max delivered! He wasn't shy about getting up and getting involved on the dance floor playing the bongos which got everyone even more hyped! He also had some drums he set up next to the DJ which looked cool. 10/10 would recommend, whenever he was playing everyone was on the dance floor!

We had Max play at our Christmas party, he was great at getting everyone up on the dance floor and his playing was very impressive! He was friendly and let people have a go on his drums.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

High energy! I love to get a dance floor full and create the best party atmosphere. The acoustic sound of drums always adds a layer of energy and excitement to any recorded music. Live percussion and partying on the dance floor is a sure winner!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am inspired by so many artists from all genres - from dance floor idols like Calvin Harris & Sigala, to pop legends like Abba & Earth, Wind & Fire, my eclectic taste means I love to play to anything!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have appeared on shows including ITV’s ‘The Voice’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and have performed for guests including David Attenborough and Shirley Bassey.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to accommodate any changes to your event to ensure everything runs smoothly. If anything does change just let me know!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes I can, and this may be included in the package you have already purchased! If you've hired me as an add on to a DJ booking then this will cost extra, however if you have hired me to perform with one of my DJs then this is included.

How much time do you need to set up?

If you have added me to an event or pre existing DJ booking and I am playing acoustically I can set up in around 30-45 mins. If I require amplification set up can take up to an hour with a sound check included.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course! I am happy to play anything from my setlist and can play along to almost anything you can throw at me. Unlimited song requests are included with every booking.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I bring all my own instruments and can provide all my own microphones amplification is needed.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes! I include unlimited requests in all my prices so go ahead and give me as many as you would like! If you are hiring another musician through me then that is limited to 3 requests per booking, but chances are they may already know the songs you are looking for.
