What do your clients love most about your performances?
Our performances are always high energy and upbeat, where the dance floor is the place to be! Our clients often comment about how we look like we're really enjoying performing - because we do! We like to have fun on stage and put on a show that people will enjoy.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We have played at venues and events including Weston Super Mare Grand Pier, Harvest Home events across Somerset, Holiday Resort Unity, The Seagull, Mill Farm, Bar Brunel and many other pubs and clubs. We have mainly performed in Somerset and Devon but we are happy to travel.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Blondie, ABBA, Queen, anything with a great beat and energy.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Headlined the 'Sat in a Field' festival in 2016, Headlined Minehead Harbourfest 2017, Headlined 'Christmas Cracker' at Weston Super Mare Grand Pier
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
Yes, the singer will be the same! In the event that a band member falls ill we do have pre-auditioned
'dep' musicians that can stand in if require
Do you have different line-up options?
Six Machine has one core line up that we maintain for all bookings: Two vocalists, Guitar, Keys, Bass and Drums
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We understand that sometimes plans can change. If you have a change in your timings just let us know as soon as you can. We have lots of experience playing all kind of events and are flexible to our clients' needs.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes, iPod/DJ and background music is included at no additional charge. If you have a particular genre or era you'd like (or any songs you want to avoid!) just let us know.
We will play music after the band has finished playing for an extra 30mins. If you'd like music to go on into the early hours we'd advise you to make additional arrangements for this.
How much time do you need to set up?
We ask for a minimum of 1.5 hours to setup. We are well drilled and have gone through the process many times, so this is more than enough time for us to setup and deal with any unforeseen issues. As soon as the PA is up and running we can play background music, if required.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Years' of experience playing events has taught us which songs work well and flow together. As such, we prefer to keep the setlist to what we think will create the best atmosphere and ensure guests have an amazing time.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes, all equipment (PA & lighting) is included in the quote and is suitable for all but the largest events. We ask for a minimum of 6m wide x 4m deep sized performance area to play. If you don't quite have this please let us know as we may be able to accommodate.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Due to the amount of time we spend gigging we, unfortunately, don't really have the time to learn brand new songs which we may not use going forward. However, there is always the chance that there's an exception and we get a request that we find would suit the sound of the band.
