Simon Smith-Daye

Simon began studying piano with Mavis Baker at the tender age of five, dutifully working through the London College of Music's classical syllabus whilst nursing a bent for jazz - the devil's music - on the quiet. Having gone on to study for a BA in music at the University of Southampton, he now enjoys a busy gigging schedule with Essex soul sensations Wully Bully and folk-funk troubadours A Light Left On, as well as moonlighting as a soloist on the cocktail circuit. Currently playing residencies at The Market Cross in Bury St Edmunds and Armstrong's in Clacton-on-sea, Simon's wide-ranging repertoire makes him the perfect booking for any occasion. Most recently he was booked by Tendring District Council to play for a black-tie dinner in the town hall as part of Clacton-on-sea's 150-year anniversary celebrations.
