Silverrock

Amongst all of the ska and dub groups around, we found that the genre of rocksteady was overlooked. This classic period in the history of reggae produced a plethora of recording artists and classic songs and was the period that famous singers such as Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and John Holt first established themselves. The aim of Silverrock is to keep alive the music of this period, as well as performing ska and dub. The band was formed by Ann-Marie Atkins (trombone/keyboard/backing vocals) and her partner Greg Small (lead vocals) and the band have gigged over the last two years at many London venues, including The Hootenanny in Brixton, Ealing Fayre, Clissold Park Festival and a monthly residency at The Long Room Bar in Tooting. Greg Small also works as a solo singer. For that classic, traditional reggae sound, you can't go wrong with Silverrock!
