She'Koyokh Klezmer and Balkan Ensemble

Formed in 2001, She'Koyokh are celebrating their 25th year of touring the continent, gigging at festivals, performing in Europe's most prestigious concert halls, playing at weddings and absorbing the rich folk music traditions of Jewish eastern Europe, Turkey and the Balkans. She'Koyokh are a live-force to be reckoned with - a wild swirl of klezmer clarinet, Romanian violin, jazzy guitar licks, virtuoso accordion, driving double bass and dance-inducing percussion, plus the sweet and passionate voice of Çigdem Aslan. As a young band, we started out busking at Columbia Rd Flower Market and Portobello Rd, and progressed to playing in the famous concert halls of Europe, from the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, to the Berliner Philharmoniker and London's prestigious Wigmore Hall. We've played at WOMAD and Glastonbury too. We've played at hundreds of weddings, barmitzvahs and celebrations all over the country, and we are looking forward to your big day.
