Sharon is a violinist in The Orchestra of Scottish Opera and extra player for the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Northern Sinfonia Orchestra. She began her freelance career in Manchester , working with The Manchester Camerata, The Northern Chamber Orchestra, Opera North , BBC Philharmonic Orchestra , Northern Ballet Orchestra and The Orchestra of the Golden Age. She was offered a job in The Orchestra of The Royal Opera House in 1988 but decided to move to Scotland to freelance with The Scottish Chamber Orchestra where she worked for three years. Sharon is also an experienced violin teacher and is currently tutor at The Glasgow Gaelic School.
