Sexy Rumours are the London-based band that your event needs! • ABOUT US The band specialises in performing hits from over 60 years of Pop music that includes everything from end-of-the-night Rock & Indie Classics to Modern Pop, via House & Garage bangers & funky classics. They offer much more than you might expect from a 4-piece band! Not only do they play the songs everyone wants to hear, but they also drop in the tunes that guests are afraid to ask for or don't think possible to perform when an all-male group starts to play. • MEET THE BAND Rob (vocals), Frankie (guitar), Dexy (bass) & Nick (drums) have been playing in bands since their early teens and formed Sexy Rumours in 2014 as a wedding present to their friends Matt & Maria. Since then the band have played across the UK for wedding parties, corporate clients and festival organisers with a priority on making the audience beg for more. The band were recently featured in an article for British Vogue while playing for their clients Harry & Erin. • SERVICES OFFERED Sexy Rumours are a 4-piece live band whose standard offer is 2 hours of live music for any event, plus a DJ service of up to 3 hours before and after the live material.. Two of our members are DJs with over 10 years of experience specialising in everything from House & Garage to Hip Hop & party classics! Should you require a longer live or DJ set there are packages that include this for an additional fee. Please state your timings and ideals when you request a quote. • WHERE CAN WE TRAVEL TO? We have played all across the UK, from Sterling to Southampton and everywhere in between. Sexy Rumours are based in London and the travel distance will affect your quote, but rest assured that the rates are very competitive. • WHAT EQUIPMENT DO WE NEED? Everything is fully PAT-tested, including PA, instruments, and DJ gear. The only thing required at any venue is two standard 230v plug sockets from which to run the power. • CAN YOU LEARN SPECIFIC SONGS? Yes! Any song you want. If there is a very specific song (that isn't a first dance - which comes as part of the basic package) it can always be learned for an additional fee. The band will always request that clients send a playlist of their favourite songs and will always draw on this to create the setlist for your event. • DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE? Yes. Full public liability insurance, covering all events and venues where we play. Take a look at the profile, watch the videos and listen to the audio clips to see and hear for yourself. Don't be shy to get in touch by clicking the "Check availability" or "Message" buttons. x

Sexy Rumours were fantastic, Rob was so positive from the get go and we knew we were in safe hands. Sexy Rumours really electrified the crowd, with an awesome stage presence. We can't thank the band enough for making our wedding that much better and closing out the day with a bang!

EXCEPTIONAL!!! If you are reading this, currently undecided and have yet to pull the trigger, then what are you waiting for?! You will absolutely not be disappointed! We hired the band to play a set for our wedding reception over the August bank holiday, and we can confidently say that they stole the show (in the best way possible!). Rob was communicative throughout the booking process, promptly responding to texts/emails and calls - and was always keen to learn as much about us as he could to compile the ideal set for us. He also separately coordinated with the venue beforehand to ensure things were able to run as smoothly as possible on the day, giving us one less thing to think about on our long list of wedding planning admin. The set itself was an absolute blast, playing hit after hit (based on our suggested 'ideal' setlist) with a super-energetic performance that had all of our 130+ guests for pretty much the entirety of their 2+ hours of playing! The sound quality was bang-on for the venue, and the band were clearly having as much fun as we were throughout - which made for a truly special and memorable night. Somewhere they even threw in a Paul Simon conga-line which just.... worked! Madness. "One more song, one more song!" rang our repeatedly every time they approached a close - not a single guest wanted it to end. We're now a few weeks after the event, and pretty much every guest we've seen or spoken to since has commented on how incredible Sexy Rumours were. I sincerely hope that means we'll get to see them again through a referral booking! We simply cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you so much for elevating our wedding to levels we did not know were possible - you absolutely rocked!

Rob and the whole band were so great from our first conversation and they exceeded our expectations on the day, including an amazing rendition of our first dance song. So many wedding guests complimented their talent! After discussions with us in the lead up to the day, they knew just what the crowd wanted to hear! They were super chilled and easy to get on with, even when interacting with some drunk guests! They really completed our super day!

You guys were absolutely incredible, from start to finish you were just brilliant. The whole crowd loved you and you got everyone dancing and it was more than we could have asked for in every way! Every single person has commented on how amazing you were and I am honestly over the moon with how it all went! I want to do it all over again! Will be recommending to anyone and everyone. We’re so so grateful, thank you so so so much for making that party what it was!

Sexy Rumors did a smashing job for our wedding, bringing a potent combination of great tunes, vibrant energy, and frontman charisma. They played a well-curated playlist which aligned with the direction we provided, and split it well between the two sessions they played. We were looking for something a bit different from the 'traditional wedding playlist' and they delivered with hit songs spanning many decades which catered to the audience. All members of the band showcased their talents and we could hardly tell the difference from the originals! SR also did a great job engaging with the crowd through a combination of humorous interludes and encouraging everyone to break it down on the dancefloor. We would absolutely recommend SR for any events and would not hesitate to book them again!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love our energy and stamina to perform. Our sets are becoming legendary in some places for their duration because we just love to play. Also, we play stuff that your average 4-piece all-male band won't or can't and this sets us apart in our clients' opinion.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We recently played a wedding at Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush, a venue notorious for breaking world-famous acts. Other venues include Leytonstone Street Festival main stage Old Ticket Hall (Windsor) Testbed 1 (Battersea)

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Prince is the artist that our band all agrees upon. Otherwise, we have a huge range of influences. Nick (drummer) loves 60/70's Rock like The Doors, Led Zep & Hendrix, Bill (bass) loves 70's Sisco & Funk such as Chic & Rick James. Frankie (guitar) loves Classic 80's bands like Devo & The Cure and Rob (Vocals) loves songwriting legends like Bowie & Neil Young

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Jack Daniels National Sales conference was attended by all the sales teams from around the UK and we played for them as part of their Jacks Rocks promotion.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

100% you will get Rob as your singer for your event. We do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians for other roles in the band should anyone else fall ill.

Do you have different line-up options?

We currently only have our 4-piece lineup. Vocals/Keys, Guitar, Bass, Drums. We are currently exploring options to expand and reduce this lineup.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

That's Ok. We have played enough events to know that not everything is going to run exactly to schedule, or things might need changing around to make for a better/smoother evening. We are flexible and very approachable just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Like a lot of bands, we do offer a DJ service, however unlike most bands two of our members are DJs with over 10 years of experience specialising in everything from House & Garage to Hip Hop & party classics. If you want us to play after 12am that will cost you a little extra but up until then, it's all part of the package.

How much time do you need to set up?

Ordinarily, we will need 60-90 mins set up time before playing live. Once the PA is set up we can provide some playlists to get the atmosphere ready for the live performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We encourage input in this area from those who book us. Part of our package includes you sending us a 'dream playlist' including all the songs that you, your family and friends know and love and we will incorporate what you suggest into our set.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our standard PA & stage lighting is included in the quote, should there be any need for extra equipment due to the size of the venue we can discuss ways to accommodate you. Our set-up works well in small and mid-sized venues. If you want additional room lighting contact us in advance and we can discuss options.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Part of our package includes learning a first dance, if it is not on our list we will learn it. We are always adding new songs to our song list so put your suggestions in your dream playlist and we will look to include them. If there is something that you want to ensure we play, we can learn that for a small fee (which essentially covers us rehearsing it)
