Selena Evangeline is, without question, a world class singer. The sounds of Ella Fitzgerald, Chaka Khan, Prince and Stevie Wonder helped shape the musician she is today. As a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, her songs are musical snapshots of real life and emotions, from a real woman. Those "snapshots" helped to win her an Ontario Independent Music Award for Best Urban, Barrie New Music Award as well as honourable mention in the John Lennon Song Writing Competition. Her music has been featured on CTV's "Da Kink In My Hair" and her single "Lifesong" received heavy rotation over Canadian airwaves on MuchVibe and MTV1 . By way of her travels though various countries she’s shared stages with Sheila E., Patrice Rushen, Jocelyn Brown, The Nylons, Delta Goodrem, Ivete Sangalo, Latin Grammy winner Maia and the list goes on. Selena has also performed with Canadian icon Amanda Marshall and Canadian country music superstar Johnny Reid. Now Selena's travels have taken her to the UK where she has relocated and is excited to be part of the UK music scene. Though specializing in R&B, Selena is also well versed in many different vocal styles - Jazz, Soul, Pop, Music Theatre and Blues.

Selena is a consummate professional. She completely understood what I had in mind for my party and handled everything expertly. All of my guests commented on how fabulous she sounded. It was a complete treat to have her sing for my birthday. Highly recommended!

Selena was booked to play at our wedding, and picking a singer is a major thing to get right. We liked her demo video on encore website, so we booked Selena, we had great communication with Selena, with what we wanted her to do, selena started at 8:30pm and from the 1st song she sang to the last 1, Selena had the dance floor packed with dancer, the choice of song selena sang was just right, and the quality of Selena’s voice is out of this world, she sounded like the original on many tracks, All I can say is she was amazing and you won’t be disappointed to have Selena perform at your event, Thank you Selena for making our day perfect with your performance. Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event just let me know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. However, if you'd like a DJ service via my PA after the final set, this service can be provided for an additional £100

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'm definitely happy fo you to look through the song list and make a selection of tunes you might like to hear over the course of your evening - and I'll do my best to work that into the set.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. Absolutely. Everything needed for the performance is provided by myself.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list, there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn, I'll be happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into rehearsal/practise times etc.
