Hi! We are Second Hand Store, a six piece function band from Leeds UK. Our lively sets are packed with classics as well modern pop, soul, R&B, Rock and Indie hits. We pride ourselves on excellent musicianship garnering excellent reviews everywhere we go. With numerous festivals and functions of all sorts under our belt, we are always on the lookout for our next gig. Second Hand Store is made up of Sophie Lim on Sax, Owen Turner on Keys, Dane Yalung on Guitar, Bruce Henman-Lok on Bass, Tristan Rodway on Drums and our new addition on Lead Vocals, Kalila Noa. We came together whilst each member was studying music at Leeds University - yes they're qualified too - and played our first show together in November of 2022. Since then we have developed a repertoire of over 90 songs gigging in Leeds, Sheffield, Barnsley, Otley and even the Lake District. Check out our reviews, video content and get in touch for a quote!

I couldn’t have asked for a better band to celebrate my 30th birthday with. From start to finish they were brilliant! They spoke direct with the venue in order to sort everything they needed. The set list was spot on and they even let me make a few special requests that really made the evening! The bands quality and sound were excellent! If anyone ever needs a band to attend an event I will always recommend Second Hand Store! Thanks again for a cracking time!

We booked Second Hand Store to play at our local village festival as the final act of the day and they didn’t disappoint! The village was left shouting for “more” even after the encore. All prices include:Standard pricing assumes your venue is that your venue is local to Leeds UK and equipped for live music with full PA, mixer and house-kit. Additional charges are added based on travel distance and expenses which depend on the amount of equipment we need to bring. Please see our custom pricing for PA hire. Our wedding package is for a fully equipped two hours of music. If you are unsure, you can provide us with a venue contact and we will find the information we need!

Wedding 6 musicians

This is our package for two-hour wedding reception performances. This includes travel and equipment costs. Extra charges may apply for long distance travel. Please enquire if you would like longer or shorter performance times. We ask for a venue contact from you so we can sort out any set-up related issues directly with them and save you hassle. We'll arrive at your venue least two hours in advance of our set time. We'll guarantee at least three special requests including your first dance! Choose the rest of your setlist from our expansive song-list.

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Drums, Bass, Sax. We may add other instruments such as more horns per request.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

In between our sets we are happy to provide a hand selected mix of background music from a device to keep the atmosphere going!

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 2 hours before the performance time. However, this can be flexible depending on the venue.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event. We are more than happy to play specific songs on request for special occasion such as 'First Dances' and Wedding Aisle walks!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes! We would be happy the learn any song requests you have given appropriate notice, anything to make your event as special as possible!
