Named after the kind of place you'd be likely to find a raspberry beret, Second Hand Store have one objective: to take a room full of people and have them dancing and singing along to classic and modern soul, pop, Motown RnB, disco and rock hits all the evening and well into the night. Equipped with a full six-piece lineup including saxophone and keys supporting the soulful voice of front-man Rob Gjoka, this determined function band have upwards of two hours of material ready to go at a moments notice. Set highlights include covers by Amy Winehouse, Bee Gees, Bill Withers, Bruno Mars, Beyonce, MJ and co, Jamiroquai, Dua Lipa, Chaka Kahn, Prince, Adele, Candi Staton and more. In their year together they have enjoyed engagements ranging from formal balls to local festivals, bars and graduation celebrations across Yorkshire. Individually, each member has many years of gigging experience on the local music scenes. They are currently based in Leeds having met there as music students (yes, they're qualified). Why choose a six piece? As a six piece, we are a larger lineup than most function bands but offer similar competitive prices to smaller groups. We have performed on stages big and small and once managed to fit the entire band under a single (big-ish) umbrella for a string of performances.
