Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
I play a real variety of music. The harp can sound beautiful when it's played in a jazzier style, but you don't often get to hear it! I enjoy playing a mix so everybody gets to hear something they like. I'm also lucky enough to have a very beautiful harp which looks lovely at events.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
New College Oxford, St John's College Cambridge, Christ Church Oxford, Oxford Town Hall, St Anne's Cathedral Manchester, The Holy Innocence Manchester,Tipsy Bear Berlin, and many other events in the UK and beyond. I have also performed for theatre and film scores, including the 2020 film 'Tunnelen', across BBC Radio 3, and at the Oxford Playhouse.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
I have a great love of Nina Simone! She is one of my musical idols. I love any harpist that also plays with jazz, so I'm a huge fan of Alice Coltrane. Classically, I enjoy performing Debussy as his music works beautifully on harp. I'malso a big fan of funk and soul, so always enjoy some Stevie Wonder.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
I have performed at St Johns Ball Cambridge alongside Pixie Lott, and Christ Church Oxford Commemoration Ball alongside Scouting for Girls!
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate for you!
How much time do you need to set up?
I need around 20 minutes to set up and tune my harp.
Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?
I've included travel costs, including the transport of my harp, in quotes for London Zones 1 - 3. However I charge small additional amounts to help with costs in Zones 4 - 6.
Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?
No! If it is raining then I will need full cover or to perform indoors as my instrument is valuable and could be damaged.”
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
My set lists are designed after many performances and learning what works best, picked from classic harp repertoire and popular songs that work best on the instrument.However, I'm always happy to play some requests if we plan them together beforehand!
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Yes I'm very happy to! I charge a fee of £15 for this service to take into account the time it takes to learn new material.
