Performing professionally since 2014, I’ve played a wide variety of events from Festivals and Weddings, Pubs and Birthdays, where I go above and beyond to ensure the event is always up to the highest standards. There’s no better feeling than knowing I’ve made someone’s event/party that bit better with live music. Taking on requests from the audience, getting them dancing and singing along, it’s the best part of the job for me. I think the beautiful thing about being a musician, is there’s different types of performances - you’ve got the big crowds where you need to be high-energy and interactive etc, which are always an incredible atmosphere and great fun! I’ve had the pleasure of performing at such events, for example, The Christmas Light Switch-On in Southend City on the BBC Essex stage, playing music for thousands of people, Hadleigh Community festival where I had the opportunity to perform 45 minutes in front of hundreds of people! It’s a great experience looking out at a sea of people and watching them sing back at you. Then you’ve got the intimate performances, when there’s only 20-50 people - some people don’t like these gigs, but I love them! There’s just something about taking the volume down a notch, and focusing more on the soul of the music instead of the priority being “get the party started.” In a room full of people, and all you can hear is the music because everyone is quietly watching, it’s just a completely different thing.
