British-Nigerian Gospel and Smooth Jazz Saxophonist Ruth has a passion for sharing her love of God & music through the saxophone. She has played across the world, gracing the stages of Carnegie Hall in New York, the mountains of Ibiza & the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the UK. Ruth is accomplished on the alto, soprano & tenor saxophone, with a special preference for the soprano saxophone. Ruth plays a number of other instruments, including the clarinet and vocals. She has many years of teaching experience, which has included teaching in schools in London such as the prestigious Dwight School in London. With many years of experience playing and performing, you will not want to miss out on having the sound reach you!

Ruth, you were simply amazing!!! Thank you so much. The purpose of our booking was to have music being played as our guest arrived to our wedding reception, so that the atmosphere would already be flowing and on a high. Ruth, you did not disappoint! Instantly our guests were raving about how amazing you were and how it completed the vibe we were aiming to achieve! Playing different genres, everyone was so impressed! My husband and I got married in July 2018, and Ruth and Samson (SamRuth) were a true blessing on our wedding day. Their sensational duet performance left the audience in awe and was the perfect special item for our wedding ceremony. Their blend of jazz and gospel is uniquely presented and their passion for music and God beamed through the entire rendition. My husband and I were so overwhelmed by the majestic harmonies and pitch-perfect melodies they graced us with. Absolutely inspirational!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run-up to the event just let me know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, I provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time. As soon as my PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for the live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes that's fine, and song suggestions are also an option.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically. If you have equipment that is also an option.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, that's fine and included in the price.
