About Ross Colquhoun

Former Grade One Piper covering the whole of Scotland with over 40 years experience including Weddings, Funerals, Private & Public Events.
Bagpiper
Livingston
Public liability insurance of £5 million

Having been playing 'Pipes' for over 40 years with pipe bands as well as at private functions and events my experience is vast from piping in wedding guests to playing on Live French Tv. Starting with Boghall and Bathgate Pipe Band in the 70's progressing via Forth pipe band and onto Polkemmet Colliery I now play with a local band. Piping has always been a massive passion in my life and as the styles have changed over the years I have kept up to date with new innovations and ideas. I love playing for a captive audience and have a vast repertoire of tunes that I have learnt through the years to tap into although the names sometimes escape me lol. Tunes can be learned or freshened up on request (as long as the instrument allows, just ask). I have played at numerous weddings and functions over the years and every one has been different so I believe in good communication on the run up to your special event to ensure there are no 'Hiccups' on the day lol. This helps to ensure a flawless professional performance on the day. I am extremely reliable and a very competent player who has never failed to fulfill any booked engagement. I pride myself on my punctuality and dress code which is always exemplary. I will always personally speak to my clients to find out what they require/expect so that I can provide a first class experience on their special day be it their wedding or just welcoming guests at a private function. As we look forward to getting back to some new kind of normal I look forward to performing at your event be it large or small. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

We decided to have a piper at our wedding pretty much at the last minute and we booked Ross who turned out to be a fantastic addition to our magical day. His professionalism was exemplary and his playing did not dissapoint. He was very neat and precise in his dress code and was of a very friendly manner. He has a vast repertoire of tunes containing the old favourites as well as some more modern tunes as well. Highly recommended
