Robbie, a solo singing guitarist born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, has been performing professionally to audiences up and down the country for more than 10 years! He has gained recognition across Scotland for his vibrant and versatile performances, from cozy private events in some of the country's quaintest castles to lively city pubs and clubs. With his experience, he’s confident to be the perfect fit for your event! Consistently building on an ever-expanding setlist, Robbie loves meeting new people from all over the world while he works; collecting new song suggestions from city-centre tourists, and inspiration from newlyweds to be. Helping to craft a little of the magic on a couple’s special day, or adding to the celebrations at someone's big birthday party, is without a doubt his favourite part of the job. With a collection of songs featuring the soul of Bill Withers, the pop of Sabrina Carpenter, the rock of Simple Minds, and the pride of Dougie Maclean, his setlist takes into account genres from delicate to powerful. And he's taken these songs to a vast array of venues too! Robbie was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We hired Robbie to sing during our evening wedding reception and added on his virtual DJ package too. He was so easy to communicate with, super flexible, and even took the time to get to know our music tastes to put together the most fantastic set list. He also prioritised our daughter’s favourite songs so she could have a dance before leaving half way through the evening which was such a special touch and so appreciated. All of our guests have been raving about Robbie ever since and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him over and over. Trying to work out when we can hire him again!! Thank you a million times over for helping us have the BEST night.

I cannot shout loudly enough how amazing Robbie was at our wedding drinks reception. Everyone loved his music and the vibe he brought! Our stand out moment of the day included Robbie - as all our guests were seated for the breakfast my husband and I stayed back to say bye to Robbie and he played Simple Minds for us, so we had our own private first dance! It was a really special moment and I'm so happy Robbie made that happen for us! Thank you Robbie, you're amazing!

I cannot emphasize enough how incredible Robbie was! He went above and beyond to make our wedding day vision come to life. He learned finger-style songs and timed them perfectly for our ceremony. He also performed at our drinks reception and played our favorite songs. Our guests were so impressed with him and he really made our day feel special and personal. He communicated so thoroughly leading up to the event and made sure all the details were sorted and that I was comfortable with everything. I can’t recommend him enough! You should absolutely book him for your event and you will not regret it. He is so talented and we were truly blown away with him!

Where to begin! Robbie is beyond talented and truly was the highlight and most memorable part of our wedding! He learned multiple songs for our day and mastered all of them (sang Justin Bieber better than Justin Bieber himself). We already knew how amazing he was but our friends and family were blown away. We will never be able to thank him enough and he is an absolute must if you want great music at your wedding or special event. A gem of a human and an incredible musician, Robbie is the absolute BEST!

It was an absolute pleasure having Robbie play for us and our guests at our wedding earlier this month at Gilmerton House. The whole process from start to finish was exceptional. What do your clients love most about your performances?

My clients love the energy and vibe I bring to every performance. They appreciate how I keep the atmosphere fun and lively, with a great mix of songs that get everyone involved and enjoying the moment!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've been fortunate enough to play in some incredible places throughout my career, from city-centre pubs to Scotland's castles! The memorable venues have to be; Eileen Donan Castle, Dalhousie Castle, Archerfield Estate, Broxmouth Courtyard, and Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens. My favourite pubs to play in are Biddy Mulligans, Hebrides (West End) & GeorgeIV!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love playing acoustically, and that probably stems from listening to a lot of John Mayer's acoustic stuff, Ryan Adams, Colin Hay, and The Tallest Man On Earth. I would compare my singing style to Neil Diamond (or so I've been told!)

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Alongside some beautiful weddings (which are the gigs I love this most), I've been lucky enough to perform some corporate gigs including a Christmas event for DKV Mobility (in Germany). I've also taken part in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival most years!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Not a problem at all! If your timings change after booking, just give me a heads-up. I’m pretty flexible and will do my best to adapt to any updates. The earlier you let me know, the easier it is to make sure everything runs perfectly on the day!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! I can provide an iPod/DJ service using Spotify before and between my sets to keep the energy up and the atmosphere buzzing. This way, the music never stops, and the vibe stays alive throughout your event! If you'd like this service after my final set, you can purchase this for an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually expect to be ready to play after a 45 minute set up, but this varies by event type and location.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, definitely! You're more than welcome to pick your favorite songs from my set list. I love tailoring my performance to fit your event and make it extra special. Just let me know your selections, and I'll make it happen!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring all the equipment needed to perform, including my PA, instrument, and all the other bits and pieces! The only thing I’ll need is access to a power source to keep everything running smoothly!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Definitely, and even if a song isn't on my song list there's a good chance I already know it! If there's a particularly special song you'd like me to perform that I don't already know, then there is a small rehearsal fee depending on time required to learn it.
