Customer questions
Do you have different line-up options?
Our line up as a quartet is always the same when singing A Cappella, however the quartet can be split into solo and duos when performing with backing tracks.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know and we will work with you on the timings.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
“Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free during the times we are booked. If you'd like background music via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we can provide this for an additional fee.
How much time do you need to set up?
For the Barbershop Quartet there is no set up time. We would need to change when we arrive but there is no equipment to worry about.
If the quartet needs to be amplified or you are using our additional backing tracks stage show then we need about 45 minutes to set up.
Can you roam around while you perform?
Yes, we can roam around if we are performing specifically as the Barbershop Quartet singing A Cappella.
Then we can sing anywhere at anytime.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, if you have a specific song you want to hear, please let us know in advance so we can see if we can find the barbershop music or the backing tracks. We can discuss this with you in advance.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Our PA system is included in the quote. Please inform us if you want us to bring lighting as most people don't ask for it for the type of act we do. However we can provide lighting if needed and there would be no additional charge.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
Probably. Barbershop songs would depend on whether there is a four part arrangement for the particular song and then we would need several weeks to learn it depending on the difficulty of the arrangement. A better bet is for one or more of us to learn a song that has a backing track which can be learned a lot quicker.
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Customers love the ability to perform anytime and anywhere. i.e. singing to a queue in the morning, wandering around in the afternoon, singing where and when we can or where specifically required.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Royal International Air Tattoo
Silverstone British Grand Prix
Goodwood Revival
Chatham Dockyard
Imperial War Museum
Various County shows
1940s events
Steam Rallies
... and many more.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, George Formby, Vera Lynn, The Andrew Sisters.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Under various lineups over the years we have performed at the F1 British Grand Prix, on Strictly Come Dancing (BBC1), at the Royal International Air Tattoo and privately for Dame Vera Lynn.
