An amazing party needs amazing music. If you’re planning a party, wedding or corporate event, you want your guests to have a fantastic time. If your guests don’t want to stop dancing, they’ll remember your event as being a brilliant party. A playlist can’t feel the atmosphere like a live party band can. Only a live party band like Playback can give your event a “soundtrack” that keeps your guests on the dance floor. We’re experienced musicians; we’ll select the songs that keep your guests on the dance floor – and keep playing more of them! Playback’s repertoire is packed with iconic pop songs – from today back to the 1960s. We’re a covers band with a sophisticated edge, with between six and 10 members – it’s your choice – with male and female lead vocals, saxophone, keyboards, bass, guitar and drums. Our musicians aren’t pub singers or talent-show rejects. They regularly perform with international artists from Kylie Minogue and Beyoncé to Gloria Gaynor and Il Divo.

Playback band played for our wedding in September 2014 at Dunston Hall in Norwich and they were absolutely AMAZING. The dance floor was full and with a SUPERB collection of lively songs!! And some of our family & friends still talk about how well Caron & James put together the 8-piece band for us. It was so good, my brother hired them for his wedding in August 2016 at Hampton Manor in Solihull.

Playback entertained our wedding guests 8 years ago and we have recently used them again for my husbands surprise 40th birthday party. They will be playing again this year at my 40th and I can't wait!!! They entertain from the moment they start playing and keep the dance floor full. They are super professional and passionate and a lot of fun. They take requests and even learnt a new track for my husbands 40th. I would highly recommend and just hope they are still doing what they do now when we are 50!!!!

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Female Lead Vocals, Male Lead Vocals/Guitar, Keys, Bass, Sax, Drums. We also have a 7 piece option that includes Trumpet

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional fee. P.O.A.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 5m by 4m space to perform

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you providing it suits the instrumentation of our band.
