Phil Maguire

I have been performing live for over 14 years and have played my music to crowds at Glastonbury Festival, Green Man Festival and nearly every pub and club in London. I have also toured around the country playing headline shows in the West Country, Essex and beyond. I have had the honour to perform at weddings and funerals and have done my utmost to play my role in the day to the best of my ability. I began learning guitar at the age of 9 (21 years ago) under the esteemed William Baulch. From then I have gone onto learn and perform a wide variety of instruments including acoustic guitar, banjo, bouzouki and mandolin. I specialise in performing classic pop, folk, rock and indie tunes from the 50s up to the present day. I am also well versed in performing traditional folk and blues music as this is where my own original music stems from. Whatever you require for your event I will be more than happy to accommodate. Any particular era, genre or specific songs will be my pleasure to perform for you and your guests. I have always been intrigued by storytelling and the power that music has to convey the feeling within a room or space. With that in mind, I have worked to create my own voice out of the history of the songs of the past. I hope to bring along a mixture of intimate tunes, soaring ballads and roaring, foot-stomping sing-alongs. My new EP ‘The Church Bell’ is out now. Later this year a full length album will be recorded and let loose into the world!
