Hello all, I'm a versatile sitar player who covers many styles from classical/folk right through to EDM/dance music. Covers and originals featured.... Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love the soothing, enchanting, meditational sound of the sitar, and the fact that I'm so flexible with music styles, genres, tastes, and instruments.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Swan, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire Conscious Camp festival, Dee Valley, North Wales Theatre Deli, Sheffield The Municipal Hall, Colne

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Donovan, The Incredible String Band, psychedelic folk music, late 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s British Folk music, new wave folk music, sitar music and Indian Classical music players such as Ravi Shankar, and electronic music such as Crystal Fighters.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Migration Matters Festival 2021 at Theatre Deli in Sheffield. This was a festival celebration of musical talent from people from black & ethnic minority backgrounds and the LGBT+ community. The main hall has a capacity of 500.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I normally have flexibility within this. give or take an hour or two is perfectly fine. :)

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes certainly, with requests accepted.

How much time do you need to set up?

Depending on the environment/space, between 10 minutes to 35 minutes.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I am very flexible with what I play. Ideally though, give me plenty of notice before the performance/event so I can tailor this.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes but can also often accomodate the equipment which may or may not already be there.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Very often the case yes. I can't play anything and everything but I'll certainly stretch the palette. :)

Peter you as great! He played at my Hindu wedding a couple of weeks ago. I couldn’t recommend him more. Nice person to deal with and he had a lot of compliments on his great sitar playing!

Peter's music was a welcome addition to the CELEBRATE DEEPLISH event, as a moment to bring everyone together to listen to his beautiful sitar and also to create a lovely background ambience. Guests were drawn by the sounds of his sitar playing. In the run up to the event, Peter was open, communicative, and creative, and we would love to work with him again

‘We had the great blessing to have Peter play at Gallery 455 for an art launch recently. It is an intimate setting and his Sitar filled the room with wonderful sounds that delighted our guests and made it a night to remember. Peter has a lovely spirit and we highly recommend him to play at any event.’
