Wolverhampton

With over 15 years' experience, Pete Wayre is a renowned performer across the UK and Europe for several reasons - versatility, professionalism and, above all, stage presence! An endearing character, he is accommodating to any situation and always involves an audience in his performance. He continues to wow audiences and leave them wanting more year after year. Pete has an extremely powerful and versatile voice, enabling him to easily perform any style, from jazz to musicals, pop to rock! A fully self-contained singer with PA system if required, he fires up audiences, gets into the crowds and has a very hands-on approach to performance. A jack of all trades, (but actually a master of all!), Pete began his career at the young age of fifteen and gained the skills required to be a DJ, compere, event & stage manager and more from his time as a holiday park entertainer, working for some of the largest companies in the UK. Pete has established himself over the years as one of the most recognised solo vocalists on the prominent 1940s circuit and is ranked highly amongst his peers, having worked alongside some of the best names in 40s entertainment. He holds his own and really encapsulates the romance of the era. Pete featured on the BBC’s programme 'COAST' in a feature on the liberation of the Channel Islands during their Festival of Remembrance. Not forgetting his other more contemporary formats such as Robbie Williams, and mixed cabaret, Pete listed highly in the Joe Pasquale Curtain Call Show at the Circus Tavern in Essex and has worked with names such as Jason Donovan, The Real Thing, The Big Brovaz, Steve Brookstein, Richard Digance, Rylan Clark (X Factor, Big Brother) and many more television personalities and DJs. His diary often fills with bookings up to two years in advance with repeat weekend 1940s and function bookings - it is never too early to enquire and book!

Pete's Reviews

Pete Wayre seemed more the finished article, for he appears to have the last 5 years as a professional entertainer, largely on Holiday Centres but with excursions into allied fields. He also knows how to get the best out of two songs, on this occasion We Will Rock You and the dramatic A Boy From Nowhere.
