I have drummed , guitared and sang my way through life - first paid session in 1970 ( with Sir Simon Rattle ! ) - Drum lessons with John Marshall ( ~Soft Machine )in the mid 1970's - Played with John Illsley and Mark Knopfler ( rehearsed in John's flat ! ) in 1976 - Got to no 26 ( NME ) in the charts with The Banned in 1977. Various Jingle sessions ( notably Gillette G2 with Tommy Docherty !) Wrote and recorded many tracks with David Owen Smith for Take Hart on the BBC -Still work with David as The Spacewalkers. In 2004 I appeared in the Pirates line-up on "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" I have been working with The Retros from 1985 to the present ..... we played the Liverpool arena in June 2017 to 4500 ladies. I also M.C. our band gigs and organise, manage , and record The Retros. I also play guitar and sing live as a Solo artist,and in a Duo or Trio , with a wide range of material covering the decades from the 40's to contemporary pop.

The Retros played at my mums 80th birthday party and they were absolutely fantastic , played a great selection of songs and had everyone on the dance floor , I highly recommend them , brilliant night thanks Paul and the band

The Retros Duo - using acoustic guitars and backing tracks. The duo configuration has a wide repertoire of songs from the 40's to the present day including George Ezra and Ed Sheeran material.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.”

How much time do you need to set up?

“We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

“Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event. ”

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

“Yes, absolutely! We bring our own instruments , have a great sounding PA and monitor system and a lighting rig.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

“If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.

It's a toss up between Liverpool arena ( 4500) and The Conrad International in Hong Kong ( 500 very wealthy people)...... or maybe Top of the Pops ( 16 million viewers ?)..... it all depends on defining the term High Profile ......
