Public liability insurance of £10 million

Music graduate from the University of Birmingham. Specialised in classical piano, also playing jazz. I perform music for the joy of sharing it with others. One of my favourite sides of music has always been musical theatre, and I have been Musical Director for many student shows whilst at Uni, including currently working for Queensbridge Musical Theatre Society for their production of Beauty and the Beast. Other highlights include a concert at Wylde Green URC in my final year accompanying a tenor singer through a mixed programme of opera, 20th century song, and musical theatre. I have performed in a variety of other contexts to large crowds of people, including two years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2023 and 2024) with the show Improvabunga!.

Oscar's Reviews

From customers:

"Wonderfully daft and incredibly witty! This eclectic group of actors, lighting designers, keyboardists and, by the end, songwriters create a nuanced improvised play with prompts from the audience that’ll have you in stitches."

"Great family fun, enjoyed the 50 mins of audience driven content ! Very engaging acting. The buzzers for the audience to impact and change the direction and style are a great idea. Probably need to be louder as wasn’t sure if the cast always heard them if the buzzer was at the back. But the whole show was original, great piano accompaniment which underscored the genre of the movie and it was fun to see how the whole story developed ad lib and stayed on track for the 50 minutes - really worth following their development! Thank you"

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Friends and family have loved the joy I bring to the instrument, and my "infectious enthusiasm"! I try to bring a light-hearted element to my playing, and I am also accustomed to the more serious classical mindset.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed with theSPACEUK over 20 times at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. I played a concert at Wylde Green URC. I have performed multiple times in the Dome at the Bramall at the University of Birmingham, as well as the Elgar Concert Hall. I have performed on stage and in bands at the Guild of Students at UoB.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Debussy is a big inspiration to me for his incredible piano textures. I love picking apart the music of Jacob Collier for his complex harmony and rhythmic playing. A film composer I love is Joe Hisaishi, the colours he creates with the orchestra are beautiful.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Sold out audience at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (102 people) in a venue just off the Royal Mile.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will do my best to be flexible to ensure that your event doesn't become impacted. Please do try to stick to original bookings and give advance warnings if not.

How much time do you need to set up?

Ideally I would like an hour before the performance to get set up and used to the space.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Of course! Provided the piano is in tune and works well, I'll play on any.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

I have my own keyboard I can bring to play at events, I will need a power source.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I will happily learn new songs for an event given prior warning. If you want me to send me sheet music I can learn from there, or audio to learn by ear.
