Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

This recent review perfectly sums up what I hope I bring to every special occasion! "Oona's music added warmth and soul to the day and was beautifully played. Our friends and family commented on how it greatly enhanced the romantic mood and atmosphere of our wedding, and added a touch of magic and fairytale to our very special day." (Siobhan)

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

As an experienced harpist of over 20 years, I've played at practically every wedding and function venue in North West England and North Wales!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Probably my teacher from many years ago, the renowned harpist Eira Lynn Jones.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Difficult one! Maybe playing a wedding harpist on 3 episodes of Coronation Street. Or perhaps playing in a charity ball scene in season 3 of Peaky Blinders? Either way, they were both great fun!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I'm always happy to work with approximate timings at the booking stage, and these can be firmed up closer to the date. Also, it's absolutely not a problem to extend the original timings after you've booked me, subject to my availability.

How much time do you need to set up?

I always arrive an hour before I'm due to start playing, so that I have plenty of time to set up and tune my harp.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Absolutely - I've include all travel costs, including the transport of my harp, in the quotes.

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

I bring all the equipment I need to play out of doors, including a battery amp and a large parasol to protect my harp from the sun! A flat surface to set up on is preferable, but there are usually ways around this if this is not available. If it's raining or if there is rain forecast for that day, I will need full cover or to perform indoors.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, I have a very wide repertoire to suit all tastes, ranging from classical to jazz standards, musicals, films, easy listening and modern pop. You are welcome to choose your favourite pieces from my repertoire, with advice given if needed.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

In most cases, yes!

Oona played at our wedding in January and what can I say except wow! Played so wonderfully and added a beautiful atmosphere to the venue! We are so glad we had you play on our big day and also thank you for being so kind during all our date changes because of the pandemic. You really helped keep it simple with the change of dates and you being this way helped us stay calm throughout. Would highly recommend for that touch of class! Thank you once again!!
