Nia Tyler takes inspiration from pop, soul, a little sprinkle of country and loves a power ballad. Nia Tyler is from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire and is a fluent Welsh speaker. She enjoyed participating in school choir, shows and Eisteddfodau. Music and singing have always been her passion but Nia decided to go to uni to study Psychology. In her 3rd year Nia suffered a stroke. This has led to her becoming somewhat of an advocate for other stroke survivors living with acquired brain injuries. Despite dealing with her injury, Nia went on to work for Orchard Media as a Production Coordinator. After a year, Nia chose to pursue a career as a singer.

Nia recently performed at our local Community Hospital for the 75th Birthday of the NHS. There was an array of guests at the event and Nia catered for both the younger & older generations in attendant. Her voice was effortless and the choice of bilingual songs was a breath of fresh air; hearing the Welsh language in song is unfortunately now a rarity at public events. From the first note Nia sang an emotive frisson arose, a true talent, goosebumps throughout, keep reaching for the stars

Nia has performed twice at two separate family parties (the first 100+ and the second with 40 people) Both times Nia has been exceptional, performing two very distinct sets (one whilst our guests ate and the second for dancing) Everyone sang along, danced and had such a lot of fun!! Diolch Nia, you really added to both parties and we can’t wait to have you back!!
