Nia Tyler takes inspiration from pop, soul, a little sprinkle of country and loves a power ballad. Nia Tyler is from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire and is a fluent Welsh speaker. She enjoyed participating in school choir, shows and Eisteddfodau. Music and singing have always been her passion but Nia decided to go to uni to study Psychology. In her 3rd year Nia suffered a stroke. This has led to her becoming somewhat of an advocate for other stroke survivors living with acquired brain injuries. Despite dealing with her injury, Nia went on to work for Orchard Media as a Production Coordinator. After a year, Nia chose to pursue a career as a singer.

Nia recently performed at our local Community Hospital for the 75th Birthday of the NHS. There was an array of guests at the event and Nia catered for both the younger & older generations in attendant. Her voice was effortless and the choice of bilingual songs was a breath of fresh air; hearing the Welsh language in song is unfortunately now a rarity at public events. From the first note Nia sang an emotive frisson arose, a true talent, goosebumps throughout, keep reaching for the stars

Nia has performed twice at two separate family parties (the first 100+ and the second with 40 people) Both times Nia has been exceptional, performing two very distinct sets (one whilst our guests ate and the second for dancing) Everyone sang along, danced and had such a lot of fun!! Diolch Nia, you really added to both parties and we can’t wait to have you back!!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I like to think that I'm flexible with repertoire and can mix things up if need be. Also, I'm a big fan of performing ambient background music so I think I add to the atmosphere well.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I'm a huge fan of big voices so think Adele, Whitney Houston, Carrie Underwood etc. I also love great lyricists such as Taylor Swift. I find that I often gravitate to soul songs as they seem to suit my tone.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I performed on prime time ITV back in 2021. I have also performed at The Vale Hotel for Disability Sport Wales' charity event.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

That's no problem, as long as it's in within about a 2 hour window of the original time. Please just let me know as soon as possible. Thanks

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, but there will be an extra charge.

How much time do you need to set up?

About 20 minutes but I aim to arrive an hour early to give some wiggle room

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course! Feel free to mix and match however you'd like.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! I'll bring everything so no need to worry.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes of course! I will need at least 4 weeks notice to learn the new song and there will be an additional £30 fee for this service.
