Biography – Vanessa D’Aversa | Harpist & Composer I am an Italian harpist and composer based between Rome and Montréal, and I specialize in crafting bespoke musical experiences for weddings, private events, and wellness gatherings. Every performance I offer is entirely personalized, built around the energy, emotions, and aesthetic of your event. My journey with the harp began in childhood, when I was enchanted by its ethereal sound and visual elegance. I pursued classical training for many years, studying at prestigious Italian conservatories, and later expanded my horizons by exploring jazz, world music, and cinematic composition. This multidimensional path allowed me to develop a highly versatile repertoire, from timeless classical masterpieces to jazz standards, pop ballads, folk melodies, and original arrangements. As a performer, I’ve had the honour of playing in a wide variety of venues: from Roman villas to modern Montreal art galleries, from intimate weddings in the countryside to large-scale cultural events. Each occasion taught me that live music is never "just a background"—it becomes part of the story. That’s why I approach every event with full attention to detail: from the choice of pieces to the mood, the timing, the pacing, and the emotional tone.
