What do your clients love most about your performances?
We're dynamic on stage, with palpable chemistry and charm. We pride ourselves on a fun, flexible level of audience interaction (dependent on the nature of the gig).
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We cut our teeth busking in Edinburgh during the fringe, and are currently doing numerous open mic events around Manchester
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Hannah: Beach House, Nick Cave, Grimes
George: Art Blakey, The Police, The Gypsy Kings
Do you have different line-up options?
Currently we're only operating as a duo, but we do have flexibility in instrumentation, be it acoustic/classical/electric guitar, double bass or piano. Hannah also is an excellent folk violinist! This depends primarily on the type of event, and will consult further if interested.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We're very flexible, and if you need anything to change let us know. If you require a longer set from us, we'll give you an updated quote where necessary. Just let us know and we'll be happy to help.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
We absolutely can run a playlist through the PA before/in between sets. This can be a playlist requested by you, or one of our stock ones. We don't yet offer a DF service, or anything after the set, but may do in the future, and if you really wanted this let us know and we'll work out a reasonable additional charge.
How much time do you need to set up?
We like to set up 1-1.5 hours before the start of the performance. In a pinch, we could do it in 45 minutes, but it would be more hectic! We have an available playlist service after we set up, to help establish the vibe.
Can you roam around while you perform?
We could if you wanted to, but it wouldn't be amplified. As below, this equipment could be hired for a surcharge if required.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Absolutley. Depending on the type of event we have a few go-to setlists, but will happily consult on what you'd prefer to/prefer not to hear.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Currently we own a PA system sufficient for a room of up to 300. We don't yet own any lighting, so for anything more technical then this, let us know and we'll add a hire surcharge on top. Obviously we'll be totally transparent for that extra fee, so you know you're not being ripped off.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
We'll happily take requests in advance, and charge £30 per hour of additional rehearsal time to learn the song. Depending on the nature of the song (how difficult it is!), we'd expect to be able to learn 2-3 songs in this time.
