Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Solo Cello only, however I am also a member of the Leon String Quartet!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

I generally need about 30 minutes to set up.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from many years of performances and learning what works best. However, I’m very happy to chat through and make sure I find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance I already know it! If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. Three new songs are included in your quote. If you would like more, there is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What can I say...except Michael was absolutely brilliant!! A great musician and very professional - he made my special day even more special! We spoke via text before the event and he offered suggestions based on his wedding experience, this was a great help as I wasn’t too sure what would work best for a wedding. We were lucky with the weather so everyone went outside after the ceremony, Michael joined us all outside to play some background music, he was not prompted to do this but he knew the music would entertain our guests whilst we were having pictures. I would massively recommend Michael to play at weddings and other social events! Very friendly and professional.

Michael is a talented cellist. I have worked closely alongside Michael as a colleague in various orchestras, quartets and ensembles for nearly 10 years and he has always stood out as someone with a unique understanding of his instrument. Michael has a friendly, polite and professional demeanour at all times and is a joy to work alongside.
