Miayla became enchanted by the harp aged 11. During her studies at the Royal Academy of Music Miayla started performing at weddings. She quickly realised how rewarding it is to contribute to someone's special day and has loved performing at wedding's ever since. Miayla believes that your wedding should really be about you and so strives to give you the music that you want. Growing up in a Jazz household and studying at the Royal Academy of Music Miayla has a rich background in both Jazz and Classical music and this is reflected in her wide range of repertoire including modern pop songs, jazz standards and classical music.

I wanted to say thank you so, so much to our harpist for playing so beautifully yesterday. She was a wonderful player and was also so lovely to work with, even coming extra early to set up and practicing our joint piece quite early! She had lots of complements from our guests and the Registrars! I was especially excited to be able to play a piece for flute and harp with her, and it was a really magical part of the day.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help your event run as smoothly as possible. Just let me know if your timings change in the run up to your event.

How much time do you need to set up?

I normally arrive 1 hour before the performance time to set up to ensure that there is no stress. However if your venue needs me there at a specific time I am flexible.

Is the transport of your harp included in your quote?

Yes, all travel costs are included in my quote!

Do you need any equipment provided to play outdoors?

If playing outdoors I generally require cover so that my instrument does not get damaged.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes absolutely - I aim to make your event as special as possible, including tailoring the music to your taste.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am happy to learn one specific piece before the event. However, for any more pieces I charge a fee of £20 to account for rehearsal times etc.
