I began playing drums when I was 9 years old, receiving lessons for all of my educational life. By playing in the school orchestra and a local community band allowed me to develop my musical knowledge and sight reading skills. By studying my favourite drummers and listening to different genres of music I was able to develop as a player. Having been in various original and covers bands I began to sit in for other drummers that I knew, word slowly got around and I had a roster of 10 artists/groups who'd use me as a dep. I have my own transport, good sounding kit and an in-ear monitoring system. In one group I was required to play with a click to loop which further enhanced my timing. Matt is an accomplished player; solid, with great time and a wide repertoire of styles and songs. As a bass player it is a pleasure to play with a solid drummer who knows what the songs need, and can add that flair now and then. In addition, Matt is there for the team - helping with the set up and break down. Great drummer, would use again, 5 stars 😁

Matt has saved the day by stepping in to play drums in my band ‘the haystacks band’ quite a few times now! Every time he has been prompt, friendly, helpful and above all he is very talented. He even added some amazing BVs and sang one of the songs in our set at very short notice - he did an amazing job and I highly recommend his drum and vocal skills, and won’t be hesitating to use him again.
