Matt is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, based in West Sussex.
His most recent work has been as the Musical Director of Gary Barlow and Tim Firths musical 'The Girls' at the Phoenix Theatre in London.
He has recently co-written the debut album ‘From Where We Stand’ for country duo 'Ward-Thomas' which reached Number 1 in the UK Country Charts, also entering the top 40 UK album chart in its first week. For this, he also won ‘Album of the year’ at the BCMA Awards 2014. Matt has also worked as a producer and writer for artists and companies including Paul Jones, BBC, Endemol and Talkback Thames among others.
As a guitarist, theatre credits include The Bodyguard (Adelphi Theatre); We Will Rock You (Dominion); Memphis (Shaftesbury). Theatre credits as musical/assistant musical director include productions Rent, Footloose, Beauty and the Beast, Evita, Monkee Business (UK Tour). Matt has recently produced and conducted a sell out charity concert performance of West Side Story at the Alexandra Theatre in Sussex featuring Daniel Koek.
