Martina Schwarz, is a London based musician, composer/songwriter, performer, choir leader and accordion teacher (LTCL music education). Martina enjoys a constant and varied stream of engagements as a solo singing accordionist and in different musical formations as well as a music creator for theatre, film and dance. Martina has a very large repertoire of various styles which she performs with great passion. Apart from playing at weddings and other private functions she often brings her music and singing into community, health and educational settings. Martina holds a degree in education and has released several songbooks and CDs for children and tours her songs worldwide. She won the national composer's competition for accordion twice.

Our accordionist Martina played a huge part in making our wedding day such a success! She was completely "on brief" and everyone has commented on how fabulous she was, thank you, Martina!

Martina played at the reception drinks of our move themed wedding at Shepperton Studios back in March - she played lots of film classics - like music from Amelie and The Godfather - she was amazing and made the day all the more special for us as we love the music of the accordion - so romantic! Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

I hardly need any time setting up as a solo musician, 20 minutes at the most. If vocals are added I might use a PA which would add another 15 minutes, so 35 min max

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances, tailored for your unique event to ensure guests have an amazing time. I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works best for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own accordion to play accoustically (or amped). For vocals I can bring a small PA & Mic & mic stand unless you have a PA and Mic stand for me to use.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my set list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
