Marianne McGregor is a multi-award winning jazz vocalist and songwriter. The singer was awarded 'Best Vocalist' at the Scottish Jazz Awards 2021. Marianne often performs solo (accompanying herself on piano) or works alogside some of Scotland’s brightest up and coming jazz players. With the flexibility to perform as a duo (either vocals plus a guitar/piano accompanist), a jazz trio or a full band, they are able to accommodate a variety of gig settings. The group have a large repertoire of songs featuring jazz standards, modern jazz pop, some old favourites and plenty of crowd pleasers.

They were fantastic! I had organised the group as a surprise for my son’s engagement party. All my guests thought the band were superb and they certainly helped elevate the party to the next level. I was delighted with the band and would happily use them again if the opportunity arose. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

Absolutely fantastic! Totally mellow vibe from Kyle on guitar & Lawrie on double bass plus amazing vocals from Marianne. Perfect combo for our garden party, playlist just hit the spot, all our guests raved about them. One of the best gigs I’ve ever seen ( knocked the socks off Andrea Bocelli who we saw the previous week) 🤩🤩 Absolutely made the party - many many thanks👍

Marianne L McGregor - what a singer!! This lady epitomises what is so good about the Scottish jazz scene right now - vibrant, brimming with talent and giving us really something to shout about. So, last night, Marianne, delivered two astonishing sets which showcased her talent and backed by a superb band - James Steele on tenor, Lewis Shaw on electric bass, Uri Stav on guitar and Greg Irons on drums - she transfixed the Whighams audience. Unquestionably, this lady will be popular wherever she performs and if last night is anything to go by she's on her way to become one of the best singers across the entire country.

Marianne and her band were fantastic, very flexible with the needs of the event and venue. The guests loved the music and the night was a roaring success.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes it will always be the same singer who is in the videos.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes! I perform often as a soloist (piano and vocals) or in a duo (vocals and guitar) or a different duo (myself on vocals and piano with a sax player) trio - guitar, vocals, sax / guitar, vocals, double bass. or full band.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are able to be flexible with timings and we are happy to oblige if we are able to.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we can provide music inbetween times played through my PA stystem.

How much time do you need to set up?

This depends mostly on the type of event, venue and how many of us are playing. We have all our own equipment and our set up is easy, we are always happy to come early to allow for any delays.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes please feel free to let us know which are your favourites from our set list and we will add them to the set.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes it is.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes we would be happy to learn a specific song for you, we can discuss this and depending on the time invovled with learning it there may be a small additional fee.
